Unhappy s5na No Power Past 4.5K stops at 6K- Everything Else Is Good

I've had this issue with two different ECUs.

I have a 90 n/a. rebuild with 10K on it. Great compression. I started this project with just a shell. New seals, gaskets, cleaned injectors, everything.

the car I thought was stuck in limp mode. bad omp (pumps oil) swapped omps same thing so I sent my ECU to R-Tek and got a 1.0 chip. Now the car has no error codes. TPS is in range and the timing is spot on.

I have a pacesetter header going to a brand new magnaflow cat to a dual magnaflow exhaust. The car should be running great.

It drives perfect until 3K then it is down hill from there. 4K is when the power disappears. Takes about 5 seconds from there to reach 6K where the exhaust gets faster and quieter then it can't pull anymore.

i don't know what the hell could be wrong. I'm so pissed after dumping money and fighting I've put my FD up for sale to contemplate swapping in a LS1. The last s5 I had was a Turbo and I finally said screw it and put in a Haltech. Never had a problem since. What the hell did Mazda do to the S5 computers?
