s5 vs. s4 rotor housings

I have an s5 TII engine im rebuilding.. I have all good parts except I need 1 good rotor housings. I have an s4 NA engine with one good rotor housing. So I was thinking of just using that one in my rebuild. I heard they are a little different. What should I do?

Different, must find an S5 housing, sry for the bad news. Also for an S4 make sure you get a rear if you need a rear.

Start looking in the for sale section for another housing.

When building a motor, always use 2 matching housings. They can technically be from any series, so long as they match. BEst to stay with what was stock if you can, though.

When building a t2 motor, and need one housing, you can use an NA housing of the same series on the FRONT position by cutting out the exhaust diffuser. The coolant passage is not used on the front rotorhousing. Put your original turbo housing on the rear, and everything will be fine. IF you have to pass emissions, bear in mind that there are seperate F and R housings that have to do with port air/egr passages which, if mixed up, will make it harder to pass.

One way-S5 spark plug holes farther apart (L/T). In work right now, or I'd be able to give you dimensions off housings at home.
