s5 vert wheels, how to clean?

Hey guys my s5 vert wheels are pretty dull and im no sure if they are clear coated
do any of you have some pointers on cleaning them up?
should i use polishing compound? not sure

Use at your own risk...

Wire wheel cleaner (wheel acid) will take care of brake dust and staining, but if your aluminum lip is no longer protected by clear, it'll chalk it. Some simple, cheap mag/aluminum wheel polish will shine the lip just fine by hand.

I used a scotch-bright green pad, soap and water and lots of elbow grease.

Yes it removed the remaining clear off the wheel. As I was pretty sure that the wheel was totally clean, I took the opportunity to reclear the wheels.

my clear was coming off so i sprayed some aircraft paint remover and it worked pretty well, i then used mothers mag aluminum polish and this was the result. (also painted the centers gold)

thanks for the info guys, gonna clean them the best i can in the mean time. Once i got time ill try to remove the the clear and get them plished
