S5 turbo upgrade question
The longer i wait to do my turbo swap the more questions pop in my head.
So what i was wondering is can I just replace the compressor housing on my S5 turbo along with a wheel and back plate with Garrett H-trim ones myself, or is it something that a "professional" should do because of balancing issues?
Plus my wastegate has already been ported a little.
Also, I'm assuming that I would have to upgrade my fuel system at the same time?
Thank you for any responses.

Sounds like you want to upgrade your turbo, yet still use the factory manifold and parts of the factory turbo. I would recommend going with a BNR hybrid turbo. Just make sure you have the injectors and the fuel management control needed. Also, would be wise to use a wideband air-fuel sensor and make sure you have an FCD.
You could always get one of the BNR's off the classies here on the forum. They usually go for decent prices and people are always looking to get rid of them.
But you ARE going to need to upgrade your fuel system. New fuel pump, injectors, and some sort of fuel management system.
