s5 turbo cooling question

ok the temp guage on a s5 sits in the middle for normal operation. I have a koyo radiator, new water pump, new thermostat, new custom recovery tank, black magic e-fan, and new hoses for everything. the motor warms up and stays perfectly at the halfway mark. my question is some of you guys managed to get the needle to sit below the halfway mark. i was wondering if you did something else or if it is just the inaccuracy of the guage that shows that. if there is another trick or something i would like to know it as the s5 guage freaks me out having 3 settings, cold, normal, and your screwed. im working on finding a aftermarket water temp guage but dont think i can do it right this moment.

also has anybody used that tap racing beat sells that connects to the heater hose and has a a/n fitting for a temp guage?

Normal operating temperature on the S5 is halfway. It should not be lower, nor higher. The S5 gauge really only has three positions anyway; cold, normal and new engine. Lowering the operating temperature of the engine will negatively impact power and fuel economy.

S4s are supposed to be about 1/4 on the gauge.
