I bought a 1990 vert that had a blown clutch. I dropped the transmission installed the clutch and cleaned out the extension housing and put new bushings in it. Once i got it back together and started it up is where the problems started. First she only feels like she has four gears. Theres two gears far to the left and two a little bit to the left. But every time i put it in gear it stalls. And when it is in neutral it goes in reverse. If anyone can help me i greatly appreciate it.

 

So i figured it out for anyone else who sees this and has this problem look up miata stuck in reverse it will tell you how to do it theres not a ton of room under the car so its tricky i wish i had done it when i had the transmission out.
