Its the only pic I have right now I will get more up. The damn card reader won't work for some reason so I can't get any off the camera. This one was from my phone. The lights are in great shape though. I was impressed when I got them. Only one of the gaskets is missing that was the only problem. But I figured I could just use the one off the original light so I was not sweating that.

Yeah the driver side light is completely smashed on the corner of the light. I will take more pix with the phone since the quality isn't to bad with this one.

hey Splitzo- I just looked in the trunk of a vert I have here, when you use the key it moves the mechanism downward for the trunk release, there is pretty much a clear shot to the bottom of the trunk from there, at the bottom of trunk in what looks like a place where the spare tire would sit is a rubber drain plug, I always leave it out anyhow because if and when the car gets water in it there is a way to get it out.

You can hook a throttle or choke cable that you can get in a auto parts store up to the trunk release mechanism and leave it out the bottom of the trunk thru that rubber plug hole. Now if your trunk release inside the car was to fail you have a backup to get into the trunk.

If you get a old style choke cable it will come with a **** that should be able to keep the cable from going back into the trunk.

I may explore this idea for my own car to eliminate the center plastic with the keyhole.

What I would try to do, which may sound stupid to some, is put the license plate on a spring and relocate the keyhole behind the plate. That way it's not visible and still functionable. Give me a vert and I'll show you what I'll do.

you cant relocate the keyhole behind the plate, unless you could make your own linkage.
the linkage is very exact for key function, its not a cable.

DAMN thats a GREAT idea. I already had to mess with that plug you are talking about cuz OF COURSE it took in some water haha. I may try that. I'll post pix here soon when I can get a chance to do it. If you beat me to it let me know. Thanks for that idea thats bad *** haha.

I installed the lights just a few minutes ago. Looks pretty damn hot. If I buy the center piece that goes with the coupe for the license plate will it fit no problem or whats the deal with that? I was told I could cut the **** outta the older one from the original lights to have it match up but to me I can only visualize it as a horrible hack job.

And yes I know there is a gap here. There was a good bit of damage here so we are not done fixing this spot yet.
