s5 T2 rebuild

got an s5 t2 motor been sitting for a while. gettin ready to rebuild. Any tips/advice i should go about. its my 1st rotary rebuild. Also looking for rebuild kits online. wat do u guys sugest? In the long run im looking to port the motor as well but jus a basic kit will work 4 now. Just need to get her running

a suggestion would be atkinsrotary.com or pineapple racing.com.....................you can get a porting template from either of these places as well.

mazdatrix rebuild dvd is the best out of them all imo.

And a Haynes manual has all the specs and measurements. Im going through my first rebuild, just waiting on funds and parts to finish it but with all that martial i listed, I am more than confident with it. Good luck

Tip- Before you pull the motor out, with the car on the ground, break loose the front crank pulleybolt with the tranny in gear. Should save alot of trouble when trying to remove that bolt later.

Ive watched all of Aarons Cosmo videos and there is so much info and tips. I suggest watching them all before trying it youself.

Also i member a buddy a while ago had t2 motor but running it with an N/a tranny. Now am i able to do this with n/a flywheel n clutch or does it gotts be turbo flywheel n clutch?

use the tranny with its clutch so NA clutch flywheel and counterweight stay within ur series
