S5 t2. Apexi power fc efan not engaging fan via driver side orange wire.

Cant get my efan to trigger by the pfc. I go into the power fc with the datalogit with fc edit.

currently working on some things in the engine bay so I have not warmed it up and tested it with temps higher than 25C.

With the car not started but ignition on, in fc-edit I see fan 2 is at 87. On the commander, the ELD is not on. If I change fan 2 to 5, ELD is on.

Cooling fan does not turn on. Using a 40A 4 pin relay using the same diagram as banzai racing. I am using power fc trigger (single green connector with orange wire). Currently testing with 12v source coming from under hood fuse block. Relay is controlling positive voltage.

Fan will turn on if I remove the green connector (orange wire) and ground to chassis.

Tested continuity of orange wire to ground and it is continuous.

Tried with 2 different brand relays. I do not hear relays clicking with the green connector.

Any help? Do I need to buff up the ecu ground? Not sure why it doesn’t work. I don’t think having relay control fan’s ground would make any difference...?

Just did a search and someone had shorted a fan relay and it disabled the efan trigger function. So this is a possibility as I did buy this secondhand.

will try to wire the trigger back to the ecu pin.

Getting 4.7 volts at the green diagnostic connector. Would’ve assumed this should pull low to zero based on banzai racing’s diagram.
