My s5 alternator crapped out on me and all I could find around here is a s4 one. I know that the s4 has less power but it will work until I can find a s5 one...

Now, the question is, does anybody know how to wire the s4 plug onto the s5 harness?? The wires that are on my car now(which is a 90 NA) are white with a blue stripe, and white with a black strip. The s4 plug that came with the s4 alt I got are black with a white stripe and a white(I think, it may be faded yellow) with black stripe.

So does anybody know what wire goes where? I'm thinking that you people that have done the s4 to s5 conversion may know, since all I would have to do is reverse it(but I searched without any results).....

I haven't done a S5 to S4 Change but I think you'll be safe as long as the thicker wire goes to the same place on both.
I have a S5 alt if you need it. Make me an offer. There is nothing wrong with it, I just upgraded to the 3rd gen one from silverrotor.

 

yea it was goin to be a temporary thing, but now im goi nto upgrade to the FD one also, thanks though
