S5 with S4 front cover?

Ive always been told that since the S5 has electrical OMP's, you cant just block them off. So is it possible to get an S4 front cover for the sole purpose of getting rid of the OMP's ? Or is there an easier way of doing it on an all S5 engine?

The S5 uses resistance of the Electric OMP as an input to the ECU. Without the OMP input the computer will go into "limp home" mode after 15 minutes of running.

**If I am incorrect in this statement, someone please correct me**

Banzai is right. Can't eliminate the electric OMP without dumping Mazda's ECU.
I believe that someone made it "freewheel" and left it in place. Not sure if that was trouble free.
I am thinking of keeping it plugged in and dangling(screwed to firewall or fender) with a block off plate in its place. This is one way to keep the ECU happy, run premix, and be able to reconnect MOP if I ever sell the car.

you can change the front cover to s4 but you also have to change the water pump housing to s4. and yes if you ditch the s5 mop then the ecu will be pissed at you
