S5 rear seats in S4 Turbo II?
I've always wanted to experience rear seats in an FC and I found some S5 rear seats. Would I be able to fit them in my S4 car? I know that the B pillars are smaller in the S4 which causes the S4 seats to not fit in the S5, but im not sure if it will work the other way around.
Thanks,
Zeke

The S4 and S5 chassis are the same, no fitment issues, nothing. The sheetmetal is the same. The plastic may differ, and you may have a small gap to compensate for where the powered shoulder belt would be on the S5, but it will cause you no issues in the S4. Swap them in and enjoy.

I have always heard that "rear seats" like that were actually a ploy to fool insurance companies into thinking you had a sedan instead of a sports car.
That story- while totally plausible- may be an urban legend but I know that the rear seats in Sigfrid's FD were so grotesque that even his kids hated them and whinged nonstop when forced to use them.
The FC has a very useful rear hatch area that is totally ruined by these "seats", I really don't see the point.

Smells like 2 stroke.
When I acquired my S4 it had no interior from the front seats back. I bought matching rear seats and trim from a local that wanted to convert his FC to a different color interior. I thought about getting rid of the seats and trying to find a set of storage bins, but after all the comments I get on them at meets/shows I just decided to keep them for the LOL and rarity factor. I've found they make a much more durable cargo shelf then the storage bins when they are folded down. For actual passenger use, they are indeed absolutely pointless.

If you want a LOL story, here's one: Right when we moved here in January, the ex-fiancee and I's first couch was the 3rd row seat from my 1997 Ford Expedition. After sitting on that for a month, I still can't fathom how the NHTSA deemed it suitable for THREE PASSENGERS.
RX-7's are a fun car, not a people mover. If I need to have more than one passenger or move big stuff like appliances, that is why I have my Expedition.

My stepfather had an '84 RX7 (kinda where I got the bug) with a back seat and when I was late teens, I actually sat back there on a few occasions. Sit on the floor with your back against the wall and pull your feet up, bending the knees, until your feet touch your ***. That's what it feels like. They are the definition of a bucket seat because it feels just like sitting in a bucket.
