Hey all... I'm seriously close to buying my first RX-7!! It's an 88 'Vert needs a new engine as it's currently seized.... I've found another guy who will sell me a 89 coupe parts car for 600 (good engine, tranny, and other mechanics and supposedly the engine was rebuilt about 20K, but has bad body and suspension etc is why it's cheap).

Reading on Rotaryressurection and such I've seen some of the differences in order to do the S5->S4 replacement. Basically strip it down to the shortblock and attach S4 harnesses and such right? I live in St. Louis area so emissions (until Sept) are going to be tested.

Biggest question tho... how many parts from the '89 (pumps, hoses, cooling system, exhaust, fuel tank) would be plug and play? Most of them?
