I need any and all electrical help!!!!!

Car is a 91n/a and long story short I hooked my battery up backwards after replacing it and now all kinds a crap is messed up (For those of you wishing to post about how much of a retard I am please resist, I already know) Anyway I was hoping to explain the symptoms and maybe someone will know how to fix any of it. So after hooking the battery up backward the main fuse blew immediately. After installing a new main fuse and the battery correctly the car started up and runs fine but…

1) the CD player does not work. Its getting some power because the head unit flashes like its getting power than doesn’t and so on.

2) The Interior push lights, just back from the rear view, are switched and they only very dimly light up. When I say backwards I mean ill push the left light and the right one will dimly light up.

3) The door dummy light stays on even when both doors are closed.

So yeah that’s pretty much everything, mostly just want to get the CD player back up and running so if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Andrew

I was about to say the same thing check all fuses and if there are still problems you might have to do a lil rewiring.

Yes I was thinking the same thing as you'll were and to my surprise nothing was blown, I wish thats all it was. Besides that anyone know what could be wrong and how to possibly fix it?

-Thanks, Andrew

You might want to take a look at the affected wires. See if theres anything out of the ordinary. Do you have a multimeter?

perhaps you didn't check the fuse correctly to see if it is blown???

Room fuse...

I guess if you had a aftermarket radio and a blown room fuse and the radio was wired wrong, that could also cause the problem.
