S5 OMP replacement

well i got a new omp for my 7. Is there anyway i can take off and put on the new pump without taking the waterpump housing off? i JUST replaced it lastweek and put fresh new coolant in it and i really dont want to go through with it again. thanks -alex

no need to take the housings off at all. just unbolt the oil lines. CAREFULLY move them aside, unplug the harness and unbolt it from the block. it bolts on in exact opposite of removal. shouldnt take more than an hour. keep running premix for a while tho just until you are SURE the omp is working.

I took the air pump off to get to the OMP better. Definitely no need to take off the water pump.

well i dont have an air pump to worry about so thats set. I can get the bolt thats closest to the radiator abut i cant get to the bolt thats towards the back and back and below it. I really dont have access to a lift or jack at the moment eaither. I am running some premix as a safety precaution. Does anyone know the electrical specs of the omp? i lost all of my links. thanks -alex

I wish I could dump my emission stuff. The Commonwealth of Virginia won't allow me.
