S5 n/a to turbo intake manifolds

So, doing more research on turbocharging my 6 port S5. Looking around for t2 intake manifolds to avoid the need for an exhaust manifold spacer and the related fitment issues.

My car is an S5 n/a and I was wondering if it would matter which manifolds I pick up s4 or s5.

Doesn't matter which you pick because you will be modding it to fit and the emissions passages don't matter.

Yeah I believe the manifolds don't matter but the TB does since the S5 uses a narrow/full range TPS.

Yup, just pick up whatever s4 or s5 intake manifold, but you need a s5 tps/throttle body.

yea, found a good deal on a complete intake from an s4. $150 shipped upper, lower and tb with the tps. So I could just use my n/a tps right? what would I have to mod on the manifolds to fit them?

And yea, not too worried about the emissions cuz I would be the one to inspect it hehe, but the guy is including all the block off plates as well.

changing to an s4 TB starts making things more complicated. s4 tps is different from s5, and so is the OMP... PM Smoken' , he might have an s5 turbo TB lying around.

S5 turbo TB should bolt to s4 manifolds. I am using an s4 turbo TB on s5 manifolds right now. All I had to do was back out one stud slightly.

How bout the exhaust manifolds? They the same between s4 and s5?

stock s4 intake and throttle body...
using fd log manifold from ebay....comes with appropriate spacer....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RX7-T...1%7C240%3A1318

its the one on the far right.... its uses a 50mm wastegate, or you can modify the flange for any kind of wg....im running a tial 38mm, right now, but i have the 50mm, when i finally get a chance im gonna swap it over, redo my downpipe and exhaust....

im pushing 20psi, with no problems.... but, i also have a street port and all the inner workings....so, it all really depends on what your looking for...

a little better pic of my motor......
all i need is the upper intake hose that connects to the tb....
build is really easy...

i spent probably 1500 on the whole setup, but i also had the t3/t4 from a previous build

Yea thats way farther than Im gonna be going. I bought this engine from a v8 rx7 guy for $150 and have no idea how many miles are on it or anything. Just plan to run a stock turbo at spring pressure and see if it will hold together long enough for me to learn some tuning on it.

Worst case scenario Im out the $150 for the engine and I take a loss on reselling the parts.

For an ebay item that actually looks like a decent manifold. The piping and flange look pretty thick.
