it's been done, but you run less boost because of detonation concerns. It's a good idea for those who want 250-300 rwhp and less boost lag, but anything above that is asking for detonation.

Not really with the right amount of money, proper and suburb tunning there are people in Puerto Rico running none turbo rotors in turbo applications running very large Horse Power Numbers. Member money is the key to any successful build.

well Roen is right you have to run less boost. Dave from KDR told me that 8psi is good to run anything above that is dangerous because of the high compression rotors so detonation can be a big problem

true, you can definitely make big power on non-turbo rotors, just be prepared to rebuild every 10-20k miles.

Yeah but just around 8-10 pounds or so should be good for daily driving, but to go beyond that your going to need more money, and really good tunning to get the job done.

I might be wrong but isn't the general and easier way to make power using lower compression and higher boost?

I am running an S5 t2 block (massive port) with s5 9.7:1 rotors. Although the car is not utilizing a turbo at this time. It really isn't needed. The car is so torquie after 3k that the turbo would make the car undriveable..

There's no problem with running higher boost on the high compression rotors if you can tune it. The only real issue is that tuning becomes more difficult and thus it is easier to blow.

The high compression rotors do wonders for turbo spool and off-boost response (if you can keep it off boost!).
