s5 n/a exhaust fix

hey guys i was fixing a exhaust leak on my car, when i was installing the nut back on the stud closest to the engine it broke
im talking about the two studs that point towards the rear of the car, i guess there was some rust and it wasn't moving and broke
could i fix this by welding a new stud to it

the part that's connected to the engine, im able to remove the whole exhaust to work on it but that s the part that is left connected to the engine, the two studs connect to the two pre-cats

That is the manifold.
You can either weld another stud back on,Or take the stud out by drilling and creating a hole.then just use a bolt.
