So your putting an s5 into you repu? As for as lenth yes they are the same length. Blocking off the OMP is always easier than trying to modify something that "could" work.
Again if your swaping the s5 into your repu than. repu oil pan, repu front cover and if you plan on using a carb than obviously an intake manifold and distributor. Thats about it. I did a similar swap on my Fb w/ an s5 motor and she ran like a bat outta hell!

The rule of thumb is to always use the flywheel and counterweight for the rotors that are being used, so yes s5 flywheel and front counterweight. The flywheel also has the rear counterweight "built in" to it, to keep everything balanced. And yes limp mode without OMP. I would recommend going full standalone such as Megasquirt. The stock ECU mapping is towards the rich side and only moderate spark advance and your s5 would run better and get better mileage with a standalone. My .02c and BTW, that intake looks damn good! Where did you find your Repu and may I ask what you had to shell out for it???

so all stock flywheels come with the counter weights built in correct? thats why when ever i pull off a flywheel its just the flywheel. so the front counter weights go with the flywheels unless your using a light weght flywheel than you need a rear counter weight as well correct?

You need to use an s5 flywheel. You shouldnt have a problem finding one but if you do I got one here somewhere.
