S5 limp mode after removing acv and bac?

Ok, so I have a s4 na shortblock w/everything else s5 na, including harness, ecu, manifolds, fuel rails, injectors. I was wondering if i block off my acv and bac will it go into limp mode, i've heard something of this happening after removal of emissions, this won't affect my 6 port actuation right? I heard something about 6 ports being controlled by the air pump (in there still) and acv, that true?

Pull the codes yet? Only thing that will cause "REAL" limp mode on an s5 is OMP.

Air from the air pump to the VDI and 6PI solenoids passes through the ACV, so if you just remove it you'll lose them both. You need to replumb the air supply to the solenoids. Look in the FSM, the vac schematics clearly show how everything's connected.

Why remove the BAC valve? Why not wire it up to the E6K and have proper idle control?

hey guys/jason... i did this removal on my car. its all S5, an 89 carryover. the VDI is there, but the 6PI and ACV is all gone... ALLL gone. all my solenoids are still plugged in, so as far as the ECU is concerned, all 3 ACV switches work, hot start assist and VDI too. in all reality, the VDI solenoid and vaccum lines are the only things still operating in stock form... except for that VDI solenoid pressure source, i have to fab up something for that.

right now, my CEL is on... BUT, i know for a fact that my intake thermosensor is guaranteed to be one code due to the fact one of the tabs broke off. on the same note, both ACV plugs are no longer connected. do either of these throw codes? if so, can i just circumvent these codes for the 2 ACV connectors by just installing a resistor? i really dont want to have to plug in my ACV and let it chill on my fender to keep the CEL from popping.

thanks guys.
