S5 injector bleeds question.....

I was reading the posts in one of my threads and I am under the impression that the injector air bleeds just require a filtered air source and not vac.(if I am wrong I was reading the posts wrong sorry...) Can it stand to be said that I can just use a very small breather filter with a length of vac hose for each injector bleed?

Why not just hook them up to their original vac sources?

Becaust they're not Vac sources. Its before the TB, between the AFM and the TB. If it wont make a difference... you could probably use those filters that go on the vac hose solenoids.

Wrong wording, right idea. Hook them up to the correct nipples on the UIM. Why **** around with extra filters?

They have to have metered air though. So between the MAF and the TB plates. I used one of the big ports on the intake tubing to make 5 "before tb plate" nipples. Use three of them for fuel injector bleeds.

It helped clean up my idle issues by removing the caps and running them to the intake.

ditto, it bumped it from a 400 bitch idle, to a 800 idle. At least when its cool outside. When its hot... well the car has a mind of its own and doesn't do what I want it to.
