s5 fogs on s4 with s5 bumper
ok....so i searched and i kno they fit on the s4 as long as u have the front bumper, but im still a little uncertain about how u wire them up. after receiving the fogs and the oem fog switch, i noticed that they have little connectors on the end of each. so obviously they plugged into something on the s5, but how would u wire them up using an s4 that obviously doesnt have those same connectors?ive never been good at figuring out how to wire things up, but after i figure it out i can do it...

Unless you can find some matching plugs, you'll just have to get creative. Check out some electronics stores, you might find some small female spade terminals that will fit directly onto the pins in the fog light sockets.
To wire them up you need a 20A or 30A automotive relay, a fuse holder with a 15A fuse, thick wire suitable for 15A, thin control wire and various crimp connectors. Connect the wires at the relay as follows:
Pin 30: run a thick wire to the battery positive terminal via the fuse (put the fuse as close to the battery as possible)
Pin 85: run a thin wire to one of the front marker lights and tap into the red/black wire
Pin 86: run a thin wire into the cabin to one of the pins on the switch; ground the switch's other pin
Pin 87: run two thick wires, one to one of the pins on each fog light; ground the pin wire on each light.
Pin 87a: nothing (some relays don't have this pin)
The fog lights will come on any time the marker lights are on and the switch is on.

Id be interested to know how you solve the problem of mounting the foglights in the s5 bumper, without the s5 bumper reinforcement, as Im in the process of doing this now too.

well...when i searched it seemed that most people said that although the bumper reinforcements are different, the s5 fogs still bolt onto the s4 reinforcement. is this incorrect?
also, if you dont wire the fogs to one of the front marker lights, will the fogs just come on when you flip the switch, im assuming thats what would happen.

I'm thinking about doing that as well, do the fogs come out of that black plastic surround? or does anyone have a silver (J5) s5 bumper i could buy?
