S5 fog lights rare ? and write up to install on s4
just wondering on the rarity, since i have not seen a s5 with them in awhile and does anyone have a write up on how to install them on a s4 with a s5 bumper ?
they arent rare at all ... should be able to find them in junkyards or in the forums for at least 50-70 bucks. I think you have to get the s5 bumper support as well to install the fog lights correctly. but other than that i would think you can make brackets of some sort and just fabricate it to fit.
I wouldn't even bother...the stock fogs are pathetic, the install is ridiculously complex and any modern fog/driving lamp will be far superior.
I can barely tell when mine are on.

yea i have the s5 bumper, i just think the OEM fogs look better than the ones you find at canadian tire etc... i have seen people put those rectangle ones and they look hideous ruins the look for me .
I really wish my stock fogs still fit, I'd rather wreck the front end of my car than ruin it with universal fog/driving lamps from autozone or JcWhitney.
As far as installation, its really not that bad. It doesnt take a brain surgeon to figure out how to wire a toggle switch.

If by "far superior" you mean "ugly as ****" then yes
No, that's not what I meant.

There are other options besides "cheap" universals.
Cibie and Hella both make lights that are very similar to the Mazda lights and actually provide some illumination.

The OP doesn't have that option so the relay and switch will need to be self-installed.
However, he WOULD have to do the same thing whether or not he uses a set of universal fogs or stock ones (because as you mentioned, he doesn't have them pre-wired). With that being said... If he follows a write-up or instructions for adding fog lamps to any vehicle, the OP should be able to do it without too much risk of doing any damage.
Forgot to specify before: My s5 did come with fogs, but my front mount piping didnt want to share the space, so i had to take them off
