Question S5 FC3S Auto NA transmission problems

Have a 91 coupe with auto trans. pan is constantly leaking on me. have changed oem gasket so many times the threads on the tranny are starting to wear. Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on a fix for this? Also, what do you think about heli coil for thread repair?

manual conversion is definitely on the way. found a full set up in a wrecking yard for 500 with only 40k. just need to find a cheap mechanic or a lot of spare time. I need a quick temp fix.

Im going the manual route too. Just be sure to have a spare care. And be glad you don't have to ship anything around.
