Anyone ever done this? I've got an S5 factory radio setup that I'd like to try putting into an S4 convertible. I just don't have the wiring stuff to convert it over but I do have the wiring for the S5 factory radio.

Ok it can be done. I just wired up a factory cd player from a 1990 rx-7 into my 1987 turbo II. Everything works perfectly.

Once i get some free time from this motor rebuild ill re copy my notes here so we can made a sticky.

Yes I really would liketo know what the red/white wire does? I believe it turns the amps on but unsure if its gnd or power triggered

 

I have the s5 radio/cd player working in the s4 car. however the amped door speakers dont work. the other 4 speakers work, the problem lies in the din cable to the amps. i need to run wires to the amp bypassing the cable. it looks like it will be easier to get a very small aftermarket amp and wire that in place of the factory amp.

i was going to figure that out so i can post accurate notes
