s5 engine with s4 wireing and ecu... possible to repin harness to run s5 ecu?

im planning on repinning the connector to make the s5 ecu work in an s4 harness. my engine is s5 thats why. are all the wires the same colors for the same things? and or will i run into any issues, like the afm not reading correctly? i just dont want to have to pull the dash and crap to swap wiring harnesses as well as get all the relays and stuff. just had my 88 injectors cleaned too.
so any issues i sould look out for?

its easier than swapping the harness's though. see the engine is s5, and i have a sneaking suspicion that the reason it runs slightly poorly has something to do with that.
