S5 ecu not getting power??

I just swapped in another motor into my NA S5 and the damned thing isnt getting power to the ecu...we had to jump the power pins on tje ecu with a wire to get it to fire. Checked wire with volt meter and it gets reading but ecu does not? We have tried multiple ecus.

Could it be the factory alarm? I disabled it over and over but nothing...we need to have that wire jump for it to fire.

Any ideas?

Have you checked your fuses?

For pin 1A to receive voltage both the 60 amp BTN fuse located in the engine fuse box and 7.5 amp Room fuse in the interior fuse box need to be good. This voltage would be constant.

For pin 1B to receive voltage the 30 amp EGI fuse in the engine fuse box and the 15 amp Engine fuse in the interior fuse box needs to be good. Pin 1B is supplied voltage via the Black/White wire which comes from the Main relay and the White/Blue wire powered by the 30 amp EGI fuse passes its voltage onto the B/W wire when the Main relay is powered up, which occurs with key to the on position. There is a 3 wire check connector near the leading coil which has a Yellow wire, a Yellow/Black wire and a Black/White wire which is the same wire at pin 1B of the ECU. If the B/W wire at the check connector has voltage w/key to on then so should pin 1B.
