s5 on crack

The car has had an intermittent check engine light since sevenstock 10. Pulled an all nighter for a water pump and water pump housing gasket to make it. F the air pump and mob. Well on the way(from Socal to Fresno vice versa) back it started to have a blinking CEL and cutting out like almost completely. It would only happen for awhile and go away. I figured emissions ****, thought something got sucked into the intake when the breather fell off the lower tube. NO that was wrong because all emissions went back on and whenever the car is warm it does it, when it wants to.

except now it is all the time when the vehicle is warmed up. Now the car is still doing it plus all the dash lights alluminate when not at idle it won't rev worth a **** and it will rotate will the key OFF, yes it tried to start with NO "power"-key in off position. I'm thinking OMP mechanically and the electrical stuff must lead to a hot wire or short to ground.

Any other experiences like this or?? lol, I just have to laugh.

Talking

Hmm . . . that's pretty random. Have you checked your fuel filter / fuel pump? My brother-in-law's Jeep started cutting out / dying for no reason and it turned out his Fuel Pump was completely bust. He spent FOREVER replacing all sorts of random parts until he finally thought to check for fuel.

Cheers,
Cody

code that stays on was a trailing coil pack-replaced-now-the intermittent comes off and on as if a connection is bad and/or it is faling internally(electronic component), fuel filters good, haven't tested pump, but all searches lead to OMP, yet it has been raining and with no garage I haven't been able to tweak out on my ride... Everytime I check the light it flashes once. Last year when I bought the car it did this and I replaced the ECU with the coil pack. Made it until now where the problem is way worse.

hmm.....my only guess if you have no problems is that your idiot cluster could have gone out of wack if you're not throwing anymore codes. Have you reset the ECU by pulling the negative for 5 minutes?
