Hey guys. Im doing yet another project. My air pump was rusted stuck. It wasnt too bad. Wacked it with a rubber mallet and loosened up enough to spin fully. Well it sounded like it was grinding a bit. It was just rust build up. I opened it up and going to wire brush the internal.
Im going to use evapor rust first. Just make sure no bearing gets any evapor rust or water. Were going to re pack the bearings
If anyone knows the bearing part numbers let me know. Dont want to go took deep in this rabbit hole.
Someone else documented their rebuilr on this. They did a good job but they did not replace bearings.
All bearings have an identification number stamped on the edge of the outer race. If you're able to remove the bearing, than just google that number. You can then buy that bearing from any bearing supply house.

Looks like the small bearings are NSK TORR J-65
Be careful guys. I accidentally broke one of charcoal sticks in think thats what their are.
tried to take it out and broke very easily with not much pressure
I sticked it back in and seems to not change anything. I have a spare air pump but not gonna try to replace it.
