s5 Airpump?

I am unsure on the airpump on the s5, is it ok to take off the airpump or would this be a bad thing.

If you have no catalytic converters, there is no harm.
If you have cats, they will die/clog soon after.

on the s5 it is bad. the 6ports work on air pump psi. if its an 86-88, it wont hurt, the 6ports work on exaust back pressure. and the above concerning the cats

If you remove the Airpump on an S5 n/a - then you will not have working 6 ports, you will not have working VDI, and if you still have cats - you will have clogged cats.

Do a search for "electronic, 6port, actuation, VDI" and variations on those words. There are at least 10 good threads disscussing how to get rid of the ACV and airpump and still keep working VDI and 6 ports.
