Ok, the main harness that comes from the ECU, it exits the firewall runs along then down the strut tower before jumping over to the engine.

Now, when it gets to the engine, it would appear to me that there is a clamp that is taped to the harness that is supposed to bolted to the engine, but where?

From what I can see the only place seems to be under the nut that is used to secure the middle intake to the lower intake, just below and forward of the fuel injector.

Can someone please take a picture of this and confirm that this is right? No matter how hard I try it doesn't seem to want to go there and I need to make sure before fighting with it any more

Found the bracket in "the box-o-parts"

You know there are way too many little bits and piesce to these cars no wonder they're expensive

 

FYI, S5 is 89-91.
