That isn't abandoned, that was the result of a car accident...I remember reading the thread YEARS ago...I have no idea how I remember that.

Even on CL, you will see a "project" that has been hacked to pieces, but dammit there is a turbo engine in the bay. It's just missing, ya know, everything else. BUT IT'S GOT A TURBO ENGINE, GUYS!!!!

don't say stuff like "i want to do it cheap"
instead your sentence might be worded like "i want to build it cheaper than with a complete turbo kit, standalone, wideband, custom exhaust, intercooler and professional tuning"

the modified LIM allows you to use everything that came off the turbo engine and if you address the common issues with the car then it will be as reliable as stock. problem is, everyone around here forgot what that was even like.

Yup doing it cheaper, modify LIM and stock turbo everything else on 8 psi is how my swap started. Then 2 months later got rtek 1.7 injectors fmic downpipe and catback. Ran great for 1000 miles or so, now has coolant seal starting to go, so now it sits while saving for rebuild.
