s5 13bt swap questions
I'm putting a JDM S5 13BT into a first gen, and I have a couple of questions for the second gen crowd. I've searched, but didn't find what I needed.
1. Is there another place to download the FSM docs? iluvmyrx7.com seems to be down. I only have the fuel and emissions control system pdf. I need the wiring diagram for an S5 turbo.
2. I'm trying to make sure that I have all the sensors and pieces that didn't come with my engine. The intake was missing from the turbo forward - no AFM, ducting, air filter, etc. Everything from the turbo to the engine looks to be there.
So here's what I think I need:
- AFM
- Aftermarket intake - cone filter, piping, etc.
- Pressure sensor - mounts to right side shock tower. Not entirely sure what it does.
- Ignition coils.
-Throttle cable.
Any other sensors or components that mount in the engine bay? Are any of these parts common with the S4 and NA cars?
3. Why does the ECU need to know if the motor has less than 20k miles?
Thanks,
Neil

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
1. Numerous links for the FSM are found in the FAQ for FC sticky thread found at the top of this section.
2. None of those parts except the coils are common with a non turbo FC. Depending on what you are running the motor with, you may also need a atmospheric pressure sensor (found normally in the passengers kick panel on both Turbos and Non Turbo FCs).
3. For emissions. It changes the ACV flow and a few other minor things to feed the cat converters different once they are broken in.

1. Thanks. It's strange, I went to fc3s.org and their main page points you to iluvmyrx7.com for the FSM.
2. I think that atmospheric sensor is built into the ECU on S5 cars? I'll be running the stock S5 ECU. So are all the FC coils the same?
