S4 vs S5 Turbos

Dear All,

I am doing a turbo swap on my FC to a T66. My question is that I have a couple old turbos laying around now and I want to sell them but how do I tell if its a s4 or s5 turbo? Also what would be a decent price to sell it at? Thanks

Eric

Look at the exhaust side. The S5 will have a much larger area for the dual port wastegate. The S4 hotside is smaller with just the single port wastegate.

also, the s5 has symmetrical ports on the exhaust side. the s4 does not.

They go from $125 to $200 usually depending on shaft play and overall condition.
