Question S4 vrs S5 water pump housing

Can I use an S4 water pump housing, Not the pump- the part it bolts to, on an S5? I matched them side to side and they seem very similar with on hole added to the S5, it looks to me like it is an accessory mount though that doesnt pertain to me if thats the case. thanks for your time folks!

The mounting for the thermostat cover/neck is different (2-bolt vs. 3-bolt). Also Mazdatrix list different upper and lower hoses for S4 and S5.

not 100% if this applies on a NA, but probably does,

but on a T2 the s4 pump housing lower rad outlet, hits the s5 electronic OMP, when i tried to put it on, and could not be tighten down.

IF you change the housing, you have to change the pump and thermo neck, and thermostat. IF you change the pump, you have to run an e-fan, or run the matching clutch fan, because the pump shaft diameter differs.

Wait, you're the know it all, why are you on here asking stuff, you should be teaching a class somewhere shouldn't you?

again, mind your own business. When did I ever say I was an expert....show me and ill eat my words. All I know is what the word REBUILDABLE means ( and how to treat people)...pretty simple if you ask me. Also, why are you such a pric to nearly everyone....doesnt it get old leading life like that, just listening to you wears me down.

On another note, my specific plan is to use an S4 water pump, housing, and thermostat neck so i dont have to replumb sensors that I have mounted in the thermostat neck and housing. i dont run any fans so its not a problem there. OMP on the other hand......yet TBD.
