MN s4 vert stereo writup

Whats the level of interest in a writeup for door woofer delete and no headset audio? i just did mine and haven't buttoned up the stereo bay yet will be fabricating mounts and a panel. Setup uses existing wiring for rca+ single wire to run amp under back compartment. can throw in ps2 and lcd screen info. just checking for interest.

I guess I'm confused why anyone would want to delete the headrest speakers or door woofers in the first place.

I've always thought the headrest speakers were one of the best things about Verts, as close to wearing headphones and stay legal you can get. Especially considering trying to have a decent hear to your tunes when the top is down.

Converting the door speakers to mids with woofer's in the rear compartment does make sense. But deleting the door speakers entirely, I'm not so sure is an improvement unless I"m missing something. But absolutely nothing wrong with putting you write up out there as there are probably folks in your camp that would want to benefit from your experience.

MN step one the vert harness

use the left or right trim screw hole for your ground. just use an o fitting on the wire and screw in the trim screw before replacing the trim.

With the key out of the ignition use a multimeter to find the batt+ (interior lighting fuse) wire

Again with the multimeter, turn the key on check all the wires and a new wire should be hot this is the keyed power tie it in for all amps etc you want to come on with the ignition on (if you are going to run a large number of things with this contemplate using this to trigger a relay to turn on everything)

With a 9 volt battery test the remaining wires with the key off to locate the front 4 speaker wires

On the driver side of the steering wheel locate the door sub amp. remove this and tie wires in (4) and run the over the steering wheel and over to the stereo bay

Tape the 8 speaker wires together for a single speaker wire harness(after labeling or taking down the color combos)

in my case i ran the power to a crossover and a 75 watt 4 channel amp
left input direct to amp for door speakers(aftermarket) right channel into crossover high out to 75 watt amp for front speakers low out to 400 watt sub amp in back everything just fits sideways behind the trim rca into crossover/75 watt amp to headphone cable for tablet

tell me you are not actually using twist clamps for your audio wiring...............
those are not meant for cars, as they do not hold up to vibrations, please rewire and do it right

how do you turn it on without having to go in there and push that button?

i have a control box for the sub amp glove screen and dash uv light (painted dash cluster dials with florescent paint an extra button. one of these days i will open it up and solder leads onto the power switch for the control box. but yes and with the top down its harder!
