s4 turbo max psi?

Ok, so theres a debate on what ther max psi you can push, ive heard 12 and 14... I know the stock intercooler wont allow much more than 12... so with a front mount and the right fuel... how much boost can it push?

12 is about as far as you wanna go on a stock turbo....that is, if you have larger secondaries...

anything after that, it just blows hot air...

one bar on an arc top mount...what a waste...

First of all...at 15 PSI, the stock turbo is blowing hot *** air. second, the arc top mount is pointless because it still heatsoaks the same as the oem tmic...

better to stay at 12 psi and go with a front mount...

2 questions:

what is the limiting factor on the stock turbo?

is it worth trying to put bigger/better wheels in the stock housing?

when i bought my car it was set up with a profec b boost controller. s5 turbo stock tmic, low boost at 8 or 9 psi high boost at 14. there was not to much of a difference and it was probably really dangerous to be at 14. I popped the motor at 17 -18 psi on a drunken highway pull(whoops).

well, i just that BNR site. other than clipping the exhaust, it seems that the focus is on the compressor side of the turbo in all 3 stages. so i guess that means the limits of the stock turbo are imposed by the compressor side, eh?
