S4 TII vs S5 TII

take the S5, thats what im doing this summer. S4 -> S5. ITs a pretty straightforward swap. The front cover w/ OMP and throttle body i think are the only things that dont plug right in. At least thats what i hear.

look at TPS on front of throttle body. 2 for S5 and 1 for S4, omp. I've heard s4 rotors can handle more boost before collapsing... Might have to do with lower compression though...

all this is true but really to tell you the truth unless the car hasn't been messed with at all by a previous owner(s) then you will never know until you break your engin down for a rebuild. I have an 88rx7 tII that I always thought the motor was s4 because it had the metal line going up the font of the engine for the mop, the lim and uim where both s4 and the tps was the s4 style one. Then when I broke it down for a rebuild SonicRat said hey look at that s5 rotors and housings.

Do the S5 TII motors still use the lightened rotating assembly but retain the 7k redline of the S4s?
