convertible top installation

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being most difficult) how hard is it to change the top on an 88 vert? I have average skills when it comes to cars and I wanna tackle this project.
thanks

Did you cahnge your convertible top. If so, how hard was it and do you have any advice. I am attempting to change mine and have gotten stuck. I would like to find some instructions.

Thanks

Don-

Welcome to the forum . You should know that nearly all subjects you can imagine have been covered. Use the search and the advanced search. Read all you can find you will answer most of your own questions.

That being said, funny you should ask this questions right now. I jsut finished up the job on my 90 vert.

With care and time you can do this job.

Good luck!

Hi,
I was able to remove the rear window without too much difficulty. I preheated the rubber seal using a paint remover heat gun. That softened the rubber and made it easier to remove the window. I started with the top corner on the drivers side by applying pressure from the inside. Once the Window corner was out, I carefully pulled and pushed it out from the top after applying heat as I pulled it out. It is tempting to tug it using the leverage from the corner but that may break the window so proceed slowly and with caution.
