Hey guys I just started my turbo swap into my 88 gxl and I had some questions. I've spent the last couple years learning my N/A inside and out and I now find myself almost clueless with this turbo. I currently have the whole drivetrain out of the car and I need to know what I should do before reinstalling. Does the turbo have 6pi? what emmisions stuff is different? does she have a vaccum spider? what crap can I take off this motor before she goes in? Please don't post if you're going to tell me something stupid. I know what I need for the swap and I've already got it.

 

the rats nest is important if you want to keep cirtain stuff. like egr,acv,cold start. crap like that i think i have a total of 5 vac lines and that was with emitions. ya dont have to put the cats back if you dont wanna but have a test pipe made thats the same length as the cat so you can swap them out.other wise go to k2rd and start buying block off plates. that vac spider goes to your oil injectors i would just recomend running pre mix. but thats me. no 6 port it only has 4 ports.
