Angry Clutch no disengage!?

Ok well today I was leaving some place pulled out onto this major road and went to make a u turn, well then the clutch would not disengage?!

Ok so I'm stuck in the middle of this road, cars behind me trying to make uturns also.

Well finally got out and pushed the car across the road while the cars were stopped at the light. I looked over everthing and nothing looked wrong.

So I just pushed the car in second and just kept starting the car till it started moving and had to drive in second gear from here to about 15 miles to my house. Only having second gear to use and could not disengage teh clutch.

Well I don't know what the cause for this would but I went ahead and ordered a clutch slave cylinder, should have ordered the master cylinder also but didn't have the money.

I had just replaced the clutch with a centerforce dual friction and also replaced the pilot bearing, throwout and breaing and had to end up replacing the clutch hydralic line also since it had a hole in it.

I think with all this new pressure on everthing just made the system die.

Who knows, I'm about to go rip out the slave cylinder and look at it.

If you had this happen to you tell me what your problem was, and how you fixed it.

Oh yeah a funny thing also some lady pulled up behind me right after this happened and I had my hazard lights on and she pulled right behind me and started honking her horn I turned out my window and started cussing at her and stuff. She apologized and went around. hahaha

Well I got my slave from Advance auto parts and the master from NAPA.

But Advance has the best prices $30 for the slave and $60 for the master.

When clutch hydraulics go out, usually EVERYTHING is due to be changed. The slave and master typically fail at the same time, as well as the rubber flex hose.

The good thing is master and slave cylinders are reasonably priced.

DO NOT bother rebuilding either - it WILL fail on you in short order. I've been down that road a few times trying to save a buck - just get a new one and be done with it.
