NH s4 TII HP &1/4 mile expectations with bolt-on's and stock turbo

I've done my research on where i should be, but im curious as to what other peoples actual results are with a similar setup.

car:
1988 SE, bits of weight reduction done (sound deadening removed, custom thin carpet), full interior/stereo, full TII swap(engine, trans, diff, brakes)

setup:
stock ports
60K on a rebuild
stage 3 (metallic, 6 puck, sprung) clutch
solid diff mount
tires are 225/50/16, grab pretty nice
intrax lowering springs on tokico blues
powersteering, clutch fan, AC removed
mustang E-fan
emissions removed, running pre-mix
throttlebody mod (thermowax removed, secondary butterfly's removed)
msd wires
autometer procomp ultralite boost, narrowband AFR and oil pressure guages
msd 6A
HKS P FCON (might be changing to rtek 1.7)
750 cc secondary injectors
walboro 255 fuel pump
AEM adjustable FPR
K&N cone filter, custom cold air box
stock turbo (twin scroll removed, wastegate ported)
no name brand blow off valve
manual boost controller
stock top mount intercooler(just for now!)
3" full exhaust, single exit, single Borla strait through muffler
NOS sniper wet shot system- jetted for a ~100HP shot, set to a WOT switch, wont arm system until atleast 2nd gear (yes i know nitrous on a stock turbo TII is not suggested, yes i am aware on a stock turbo even with ported wastegaste i will more than likely see boost spikes, im going to see how things go with it and possibly reserve it for once i go the aftermarket turbo route, cant hurt to try)

i am hoping to run ~12 psi, hoping for around 250 WHP before nitrous and to see 12's in the 1/4

anyone's experiences, dyno runs, 1/4 mile times, you name it.. with setup's even somewhat similar to mine especially to do so with the RTEK, FCON, nitrous would be greatly appreciated

you are probably looking at mid to low 13's as long as it is tuned properly. bigger turbo helps.

Compare your setup to other people in the timeslip and dyno subsection of the forum up top.

you would do low 13s high 12s with that 100 shot of nitrous.

I'm not going to say "don't spray it you will blow up your engine!!!1!!one!1" But if you are going to spray it and risk overboost, you might want to have race fuel in the tank first. With pump fuel it will be risky with the stock timing maps, and even with the Rtek 1.7 it won't be much better because the 1.7 only pulls a little bit of timing. I have discussed the issue in this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/stock-s4-turbo-timing-maps-warning-those-stock-ecu-943159/

you don't even see many people get into the 12's on stock turbo with normal street tires.

Maybe jet the fuel side of the fogged a little richer to compensate for the boost spike. Low 13s w/o spray, toss some drag radials on and high 11s should be doable with n2o

i looked through the dyno runs and 1/4 mile times for about an hour but i wasn't seeing many people with very similar setup's. arghx thanks for the insight into timing, i wasn't aware what a cutoff what present! i may retard the overall timing a few degree from the start as a bandaid.. there's no race gas around here, but i always run 93.
sounds like with tire i should be where i want to be in the 1/4.. are my HP expectations close?

With a good launch you should be in the 13's. Launching has been a problem for me the last two years. I was running ~10psi. Crappy Kumho tires 225/50/16 doesn't help either. My fastest last year was 14.2@101, but I should be in the 13's with that trap speed.

I think 275 wHP at 12 psi and better intercooler. So 375 HP assuming the NOS is +100.

The basic formula is new HP = (new psi + 14.7) / (old psi + 14.7) x old HP. Assuming equal temperature, i.e. you upgrade the intercooler as you increase the boost.

Isn't 1/4 mile time all relative to the driver?
Take 2 guys with the identical car,you are gonna see 2 different 1/4 mile times.
.....
I like the setup though,,sounds nice..I'd actually like to see what the car could do!

yeah 1/4 mile is relative to driver, just curious of the range im looking at

once the snow is melted and the car is actually ready ill get some pics/videos up and take her to the drags

Interesting! 14.2 @ 102 were my numbers w/ just a Superchip, no cats AND a slipping clutch. The Superchip required setting the boost to 13 psi but as the revs passed ~6500 boost would drop towards the low 11 psi before shifting. Later found out the boost drop was do to the restrictive OEM coupler that links the AFM to the turbo. I'm sure I was pretty lean @ peak power.

My mods are close to yours.

Rtek 1.8
4x720
SAFC
FMIC
Streetport
13 psi

And lots of other crap. I would like to think I have a low 13 second car. Its pretty quick but its never been on the track.

I need to head up to NH as its the closest 1/4 to me but I dont have a trailer yet. I WILL break something when I eventually do run it.

catchie you'll have to let me know how you run if you make it up this way. how is the streetport in comparison to stock block? power, powerband, sound..?

i can drive like hell, just no time at the track, i'll be happy with 12's though

The streetport is great. The midrange is fantastic and never stops pulling. I went "mild" on this one. Next time Im going bigger.

As for the sound I get "Kid, that **** sounds like a street bike!" all the time. Thats with a 3" turbo back single. Im putting duals back on though, its a bit loud.
