s4 tailight mod

well i took apart the s4 tailights, and there isnt any mods you can do to the inside of them. there is no diffuser or anything it is built into the lense itself. i also tinted them and i think it looks good, still not anywhere near s5, but worth the 15 bucks. ill get pics tommrrow

this thread is worthless without pics.....but i think i've seen it done on here before........just make sure it's not TOO dark where it poses a danger...........

i was conservative on darkness. i compared one to stock and i didnt lose hardly any brightness just a slight bit.

how the hell do you get the lenses off? I have benn trying for like 2 days.
BTW, i dont have access to an oven. I've just been soaking them in hot water then trying to pry them apart.

at 250 degrees it deformed the plastic but it came off easy, so 250 is TOO HOT! try a hair dryer.

here are before and after pics. i didnt tint them very dark cuz i didtn want a blackout look, nor lose any light.

oh, and i used that VHT tint stuff, and did not tint the reverse light at all.

ebay. VHT tailight tint. they supposeably sell it at the local ricer stores, but i couldnt find any

Holy revival!

250 degrees will not warp them if they are in there less than 10 minutes... I took my s5's apart on 275...


Why do you need to take the s4's apart??

there is no need to take s4s apart, I sprayed them with VHT from the backside quite easily

I did that like 13 years ago, lol
