Red face s4 shift **** on s5?

i think it will fit, but just want to make sure.

I need a shift **** (mine is loose, stripped out or something), and I found a really cheap s4 **** i'm thinking about getting.

any thoughts, comments, opinions, etc.?

s4 and s5 have different size shifters. i believ s5 is a 10 and s4 is an 8 IIrc

I just did the miata shifter thing and still have my s4 ****. Its loose and stuff but still driveable for temporary.

For either s4 or 5 you can get a universal one anywhere, but I cant remember which on it is. Unfortunately my parts car is an automatic.

S5 is the one that has a very common or 'universal' thread pitch, what that pitch is, i have no clue.

I got a cheap Type R **** on ebay for my miata short shifter. It was a PITA to get on but it works well and feels great. I still have a stock miata shifter coming in though. I really like the feel of those ones for some reason.
