S4 to S5 wngine swap
I'm in the process of swapping my blown S4 motor out of my 87 GXL for an S5 engine out of an auto tranny car. I need to know if I need the S5 flywheel, counter weight, clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, ECU and MAF in order for the swap to work. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

you will need an S5 Manual flywheel. The counterweight is Useless unless you decide to use a Light flywheel...Also you are better off to take the Manifolds and Front cover and use those on the s5 engine, rather than put the S5 in as a whole and run the S5 core as an S4 engine..you use the s4 ECU.If not you have a FIASCO full of wiring to do..I'm sure you will get More info.Others will post up...and use search..it is very Friendly!..(also go to www.rotaryresurrection.com hit Tech..and you will find alot of info there too..Kevin has a good site..Plug for ya..RR!)
