changing oil safely?
fsm wasn't a big help.[(or i dont know how to find the info i need)or both]
i'm changing my oil, do i need to fill the filter or just lube the seal?
with the MOP is there a trick to getting all of that oil out of there and refill with no trouble in the lines? or am i just draining via oil pan plug and refilling?

Just drain the oil from the pan. Do this:
1) set park brake, block rear wheel and jack up front end and place jack stands under frame (look in the owners manual in the glove box or FSM)
2) Put large pan under oil pan
3) Using 19mm socket and ratchet loosen plug and remove. The plug will probably end up in the pan so you can fish it out later. Oil will a cometh.
4) As it drains go up and remove oil cap and set aside
5) Place rags around base of oil filter to prevent oil spilling onto the heater hose when you remove the filter
6) Remove filter
7) Clean base of oil pedastal, put thin layer of oil on new filter seal, and install filter per instruction on box. No need to put oil in filter.
8) Fish out plug from pan w/oil plug gasket & clean, and reinstall. Dont overtighten its only 20 ft-lbs. Make sure u have the gasket installed between the plug and oil pan.
9) Fill oil with ~4.2 qts and reinstall cap
No need to worry about OMP lines

just changing your oil normally should be fine. Unless you like cleaning a big mess, lubing up the filter seal should be fine. I am assuming you mean the omp (Oil Metering Pump) you shouldnt need to drain that oil out, its going to be burned during combustion and any deposits in that oil will be burned up as well.
