Question S4/S5 Windshield swap?

Anyone know if a S4 windshield will fit a S5? Some catalogs list windshields for each separately, with the S5 almost $80 more, but others don't differentiate at all and I can't see why they would be different.

Thanks!

I want to do it because my 89 windshield is cracked and I found an windshield off an 88 that is really cheap. Just worried that it won't fit for some reason since 86-88 and 89-91 windshields listed separately and with a substantial price difference.

The windshields are interchangable. If you need any advice, or help on how to install the windshield, or cut out the old one, send me a PM. I install autoglass for a living and fix automotive water leaks. Unless your having someone else do it for you...either way, it will work.

the S5 came with some tint, and that's why i've been told (dealership and Victoria British) that they are more. I've owned both S4 & S5 and can't tell the difference.

The 86-88 coupe sunshield windshield is the same as the 89-91, so there should be no difference in price.

On the 86-88 base windshield (with no tint or antenna) would be cheaper.

BTW: NAGS and Mazda part numbers (as posted before):

Mazda P/N)
Coupe Tinted w/o sunshade w/o antenna = FB01-63-901C
Coupe Tinted w/o sunshade w/ antenna = FB01-63-901E
Coupe Tinted w/ sunshade w/ antenna = FB03-63-901
Coupe Tinted (89-91) FC02-63-901
Convertible = FB03-63-901

NAGS
Coupe Tinted w/o sunshade w/o antenna = TFW521
Coupe Tinted w/ sunshade w/ antenna = TFW522
Convertible = TFW522

See the NAGSs P/N are the one that you are concerned with. That is the number that glass shops in North America use for the replacement windsheild.

no it should be brought up! my friend put the S4 glass in an S5 car, and the difference is the tint around the sides, so on his car you can see the seat belts, it sucks! S5 car needs an S5 window!

My 90 vert has the tint and the sunshade up top. It is REALLY faded, as you can see what it originally was like underneath my DoD sticker.
