s4 to s5 turbo swap

i have a 1988 turbo II. the turbo started leaking coolant from the hot side so i decided to do a s5 turbo swap. i have the manifold and everything.

while i was removing the old turbo i saw an actuator under the turbo that looks to go inside the s4 manifold
ofcourse the s5 manifold does not have this.

so what does this do? and what should i do with it?
will this swap even work?

Twin-scroll system. You can cap the vacuum feed for the actuator and swap everything else over to s5 components.
