i did it everthing bolts up, oil line, water line,. you gotta use the s5 manifold then bolt the s5 turbo, btw the s5 has a bigger hotside and only one waste gate need

left is s4, right is s5 the openings airnt the same on the s4 but on the s5 there both the same

the compressors are the same

the waste gate housing are diffrent but you still wanna port them

If you do not want to change manifolds - you can use an S5 turbo by swapping the turbine housings.

Thank you guys so much!!...So I just need s5 turbo and the manifold and everything should bolt up and work fine ? Sweeeet. I just figured an s5 turbo would have a little less miles...but is the s5 turbo better? Would it be worth it to just swap my bad turbo with an s4 one or better to just get the s5 manifold and turbo?

arguably the S5 turbo is a little better, it's designed without the twin scroll system of the S4 turbo yet to my understanding has the same or slightly greater power potential as the S4. So a couple fewer parts and systems to break on the S5 turbo. as far as miles it all depends. maybe on average for every stock turbo ever sold there'd be a trend, but in a month long time span you look for a turbo you could wind up with turbos having anywhere from 20k to 200k miles on them, S4 and S5.
