S4 to S5 interior conversion, how hard?

has anyone personally swapped a s5 interior into a s4? what goes right in perfectly? what doesnt fit? what has to be modified?

im talking everything, dash, carpet, doors, rear bins, speaker grilles in back, headliner w/ sunroof,...the entire interior.

im talking everything, dash,

The dash is very difficult. Hope you're very patient and good. You can get over your head quick with this one.

carpet,

Requires removing the dash and airmix box for an easy install. Its got this plastic **** that grabs the carpet at the very top middle of it. And of course the seats have to come out. Sometimes the seats are bitch to bolt back in for some reason. So becareful you don't strip the bolt by tweaking and bolting it down sideways.

doors,

I assume you want the power options. I guess. Sure but figure out how to get power to the power components first even before installing the doors. Otherwise you'll be sitting there getting pissed as to why certian things work and while other things don't. Even though the plugs are there, sometimes for what ever reason, they lack electricity. Solve the power issue first before door install is my suggestion.

rear bins, speaker grilles in back,

Easy no prob.

headliner w/ sunroof,...the entire interior.

The plastic on the sides that keep the headliner in break really easily. Be patient and careful or you'll be buying new ones in no time at all.

Well I went from s4 to s4. So not so sure about the harness.

In fact I did everything you want to except the Dash.

After taking it out of the donor car I decided I wasn't experienced enough yet to replace it.

I would think long and hard and research about your conversion before attempting a s4 to s5 dash and door swap. Not to say you shouldn't do it. Just becareful and it'll be cool.

I swap most parts of S5 GTU into my S4 GXL. Seats fit fine, bins, front and rear carpet fits, arm rest, door sill, all vents, window switches, door handles, speaker grills, sunroof, steering wheel, and those plastic pieces around the headliner. The dash wont fit unless u swap harness from the s4 to the s5, headliner won't fit because its too small, and that about it.
